Upcoming games and special events for the University of Victoria Vikes varsity teams. All times listed below are in Pacific Time.

The Vikes men’s rugby team enjoyed yet another bye week last weekend as the entire B.C. Rugby Union shut down for the HSBC World 7s series in Vancouver on Mar. 9-10. Victoria defeated the Vancouver Rowing Club in convincing fashion when they were last in action on Mar. 2 by a score of 61-21. The win saw the Vikes leapfrog the Seattle Saracens into fifth place in the BC Premier League standings with 35 points, three points up on the Saracens who now occupy the last playoff spot. This week the Vikes will travel north to play the Nanaimo Hornets. The last time these two teams a faced each other Victoria bested the Hornets by a score of 50-32 at Wallace Field.

Saturday, Mar. 16: Vikes at Nanaimo Hornets (2:30 p.m. Nanaimo, BC)

The Vikes men and women’s golf team will travel down to Primm, Nevada for the Battle at Primm tournament hosted by the Grad View University Vikings at the Primm Valley Golf Club on Mar. 18-19. The Vikes men were last in action on Feb. 12 when they finished in second place at the ACU Spring Invitational. The Vikes women won the tournament title at their last event in Banks, Oregon at the Boxer Spring Invitational.
