Upcoming games and special events for the University of Victoria Vikes varsity teams. All times listed below are in Pacific Time.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
After going 1-1 against the Fraser Valley Cascades last weekend, the Vikes men’s basketball team will now travel to Lethbridge for a pair of games on Jan.18 and 19. Victoria currently holds a record of 6-8 in the Canada West standings as they continue to fight for playoff position. The Lethbridge Pronghorns are sitting just one win ahead of the Vikes in the conference standings at 7-7. The Pronghorns also went 1-1 last weekend in a pair of games against the Mount Royal Cougars.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Vikes women’s basketball team hold a record of 8-6 after their weekend series split against the Fraser Valley Cascades. Victoria defeated the now 10-6 Cascades 91-58 on Jan.11 but narrowly lost by a score of 73-71 the following night. This weekend Victoria will travel east to Lethbridge to take on the 7-7 Pronghorns. Lethbridge won both of their matchups against the Mount Royal Cougars last week on Jan.10 and Jan.12.

WOMEN’S RUGBY 7s
The Vikes women’s rugby team finished fifth at the U SPORT 15s National Championships in November but now turn their focus to the 7s game for the spring. In the 2018 Canada West 7s season, the Vikes went undefeated in all three tournaments to capture the conference banner. Victoria will be in Edmonton this weekend for the first of three tournaments in 2019 as they try to defend their championship title.

TRACK AND FIELD
With the conclusion of the cross-country season, the Vikes now head indoors for the track and field portion of their schedule. Victoria will travel east to Edmonton this weekend for the Golden Bear Open hosted by the University of Alberta. The Vikes men and women had a combined 10 top-5 finishes in this event last year.

SWIMMING
The Vikes men’s and women’s swim team travel to the mainland this weekend for a pair of events as they continue to prepare for U SPORTS National Championships beginning on Feb.21 in Vancouver. Victoria will be in Burnaby on Friday, Jan.18 for the SFU Dual before heading to Richmond for the second leg of the Senior Circuit on Saturday, and Jan.19.
