Upcoming games and special events for the University of Victoria Vikes varsity teams. All times listed below are in Pacific Time.

The Vikes women’s rugby team will into their final Canada West 7s tournament this weekend sitting in second-place in the standings, two points behind the UBC Thunderbirds. The T-birds will host this weekend’s tournament and will hope to claim the conference banner on home turf just like the Vikes did in 2018. The tournament champions will receive 15 points in the standings so a victory would seal the Canada West title for Victoria for a second-straight season.

The Vikes men’s rugby team was last in action on Feb. 2 when they lost to the reigning BC champion UBCOB Ravens by a score of 34-21. Victoria currently sits in sixth and final playoff spot, six points up on the Vancouver Rowing Club who they travel to face this weekend. The Rowers are coming off a lopsided loss to the third-place Burnaby Lake RFC by a score of 52-10. This game will have significant playoff implications as the Rowers try and chase down the Vikes for the last playoff spot.

Saturday, Mar. 2: Vikes at Vancouver Rowing Club (Vancouver, BC)

The Vikes rowing team will host the 46thannual Elk Lake Spring Regatta this weekend the home of the Canadian national rowing program in Victoria, B.C. This event is often seen as one of the premier rowing events in the Pacific Northwest with events ranging from junior to masters competitions. This will be the final formal event for the Vikes as they prepare for the Brown Cup on Mar. 30.
