There is no one more deserving or fit for the position of Executive Director with the Vancouver Island Soccer League than Vince Greco, the man who took the reigns and volunteered in this position for several years.

The VISL announced Tuesday, July 17 that Greco is now the first ever Executive Director of VISL.  Greco is a familiar name to many having served the league as a volunteer Board Member since 2000, including the past seven years as President.

This experience should allow for a seamless transition to his new role where he will be tasked with many of the day-to-day administrative complexities involved with running the league.  In addition, he will be actively working on growing the game within the community.
“With the announcement of Canada being a part of the 2026 World Cup and the launch of the new professional team coming to Victoria, we are excited to watch the game grow and play a part in that,” the VISL said in a release.
