In celebration of its 30th annual event, the Times Colonist 10K is presenting a free commemorative poster to every registered 10K or Family Run participant. The artwork is designed by west coast artist, Duane Murrin and captures the essence of the event and the beauty of Victoria.
“We wanted to have something special for all of our participants this year and this is a memory they can frame and have for years to come,” said Race Director Trish Fougner. “The design is similar to our earlier days of the Garden City 10K with the flowers and bright colours. Participants will love this.”
The poster will be available for registered participants at Race Package Pick-up during the Expo at Uptown on April 25, 26 and 27th (hours listed on the TC10K website).
The public can still register for the TC10K and are encouraged to do so before midnight on April 5th to benefit from the lower price.
“Registrations are pouring in and we are excited to be hosting some of our highest numbers in years,” said Fougner. “We expect over 10,000 by race day.”
Artist, Duane Murrin lives in North Vancouver and has a passion for west coast living. He is a self-taught artist who grew up wandering the forest and mountains of North Vancouver strumming his guitar in search of those magical spots that just sing.
