Victoria Shamrocks

With an exciting weekend of lacrosse ahead for Shamrocks fans as the regular season comes to an end, the Western Lacrosse Association has released its dates for round 1 (Semi-final) playoff series, with the first game on Thursday, August 3rd at 6:00 pm.

Victoria is already guaranteed a playoff spot and has two games left to move up the ranks.  Victoria’s final two games have major playoff implications, Thursday they visit New Westminster for the second time this season.  Victoria is tied with the Salmonbellies who will be playing their final regular season game.

The following night (Friday), Victoria hosts Burnaby for the final game of the regular season at 7:30 on SLEGG Building Materials Fan Appreciation night.  The Shamrocks sit two points ahead of the Lakers and after Friday’s game, Burnaby will have two games remaining (At Nanaimo, vs Langley).

There is still plenty of movement left in the WLA standings, all four teams have clinched a playoff spot, but none have locked down a position. Just three points separate first from fourth. Victoria is in second with twenty-one points, one back of Maple Ridge.

Fans can secure their seats for the first round by calling 250-478-7625, or by visiting the team store at #120-967 Langford Parkway during the extended office and phone hours.  Season ticket holders have their playoff seats guaranteed until 5:00 pm the day before the games, after that they will be released to the general public.
