From Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels football organization continues to support the commun1ty by teaming up with CFAX Santas Anonymous for the 2nd year.  During our last home game of the season, Saturday October 3rd vs Langley Rams and Presented by Coast Capital Savings, fans are being asked to bring a non wrapped toy or a cash donation.  In exchange each person that donates a toy or $10 or more will get the opportunity to enter their name for a 1 night stay at the Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria Symphony tickets and Rebels 2016 game tickets.

The community is an important part to the off field priorities of the Westshore Rebels football club.  The club is proud to participate in various events and partner with organizations around Vancouver Island.  This gesture and mind set shows our players how important not only being successful on the field is, but how important contributing in your community is.

“CFAX Santas Anonymous is proud to be supported by the Rebels team – from management to cheerleaders, to players and volunteers, and its amazing fans — this organization cares about the community and is always offering a helping hand.  Thank you for your ongoing support – Go Rebels!” – Christine Hewitt, Executive Director, CFAX Santas Anonymous Society

On Friday October 2nd Head coach JC Boice and Rebels players will join Al Ferraby to talk about CFAX Santas Anonymous and Rebels game day on CFAX 1070 (Radio) and CTV Vancouver Island (TV) at 7:20am.

CFAX Santas Anonymous Society is one of Greater Victoria’s longest running children’s charities, working diligently to serve families with children in need…no matter what the need.  Their goals are accomplished through the funding, operation, and delivery of Christmas Hampers and Special Grants programs, and supported by a caring and devoted volunteer base.
