Vikes Week at a Glance: Oct 30-Nov 5
After starting their Conference schedule with a bang, the Vikes hit the road for the first time in their 2017-18 season holding a perfect 2-0 record.
Heading out on the road for the first time this season, the Vike men’s basketball team will be looking to find their rhythm after splitting their opening weekend of the season with the UBC Okangan Heat.
MEN'S FIELD HOCKEY
The Vikes men’s field hockey team continue to battle in a very competitive Vancouver Men’s Field Hockey League. The young squad led by coaches and former Vikes Derrick Norton and Mark Erickson stay at home this weekend to take on UBC
Sunday, Nov. 5: Vikes vs. UBC T-Birds (12:30 p.m., UVic Field Hockey Turf)
Fresh off a team win at the recent Vikes Shootout at Cordova Bay the Vikes women’s golf team will head to their final tournament of the fall season before regrouping in the spring for NAIA championship qualifications.
Oct. 30-31: Vikes at Cal State San Marcos Invitational (Twin Oaks Golf Course – San Marcos, Calif.)
MEN'S & WOMEN’S ROWING
Following a successful weekend as hosts of the Western Canadian University Rowing Championships, where the women finished first and the men second, the Vikes will head to Burnaby for the Canadian University Rowing Championships
Nov. 4-5: Canadian University Rowing Championships (Burnaby Lake, Burnaby B.C.)
Fresh off qualifying for the University National Championships, the Vikes men’s rugby team returns to B.C. Premier League action this weekend at home.
Saturday, Nov. 4: Vikes vs. Castaway Wanderers (2:30 p.m., Wallace Field) TICKETS
After a thrilling 1-0 win over the Calgary Dinos in the Canada West Quarter-finals the Vikes women’s soccer team will look to keep their amazing season going this weekend at the Canada West Final Four. A win in their semifinal game against MacEwan and the Vikes would book a ticket to the U SPORTS National Championships taking place Nov. 9-12 at the University of Manitoba.
The Vikes continue their fall swim meet schedule as they cross to the Lower Mainland to compete at the College Cup.
