After the tremendous success of hosting a week-long training camp and intra-squad scrimmage last fall for the Toronto Raptors, the University of Victoria Vikes Athletics and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan will be returning to Victoria to host a youth basketball camp on campus this August.

Running from Tuesday, August. 14 through Friday, August 17, the four-day camp will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to participants ages 6 to 16.

Being held inside both the CARSA building and McKinnon Gym, the camp will feature a structured basketball learning experience that encourages team participation and personal development.

DeRozan is a four-time NBA All-Star, has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month three times and won a gold medal with team U.S.A. at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

DeRozan will be in attendance helping campers hone their basketball fundamentals, while other camp highlights include: guest speakers, a low coach-to-camper ratio, several games per day and daily contests. Campers will also receive a DeMar DeRozan / Nike Camp T-Shirt, photo and autograph with DeRozan and daily raffle prizes.

The cost of the camp is $375 before July 1 and $400 on and after July 1. Space is limited.
