MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Vikes men’s basketball team holds a 1-1 record after opening their regular season schedule in Winnipeg this past weekend. Victoria fell to the Wesmen on Oct. 26 by a score of 93-84 but rebounded on Oct. 27 with a 75-72 win to salvage a weekend series split. This weekend, the Vikes face the UBC Thunderbirds in a pair of games that will count towards the Legends Cup and the Canada West standings. LIVE STATS | PPV WEBCAST

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Vikes women’s basketball team swept their season opening weekend series against the Winnipeg Wesmen. Victoria edged Winnipeg by a score of 77-76 in their conference season opener on Oct. 26 and capped off the weekend with a 79-67 victory on Oct. 27. The Vikes will now turn their focus to a pair of games against the UBC Thunderbirds this weekend. These two match-ups against the T-birds will count towards the Legends Cup standings as well as the Canada West. LIVE STATS | PPV WEBCAST

MEN’S RUGBY
Coming off a bye week, the Vikes men’s rugby team will travel across town for a match against James Bay this weekend on Saturday, Nov. 3. In their last game, Victoria gave up 33 points second half points in their loss to the UBC Thunderbirds. The Vikes currently sit three points behind James Bay in the BC Premier League standings with a 1-3 record.

WOMEN’S RUGBY
The Vikes women’s rugby team will be at Acadia University this week for the U SPORTS National Championships. Victoria clinched a spot in the tournament after a 26-0 victory over the UBC Thunderbirds in the Canada West semi finals on Oct. 19. The Vikes will face OUA champs, the Guelph Gryphons in the tournament quarter-final on Nov.1. All games livestreamed at USPORTS.LIVE.

WOMEN’S FIELD HOCKEY
It took until the final weekend of the women’s field hockey schedule but the Victoria Vikes finished first in the Canada West conference. Victoria will face the OUA Champions from York University in Ontario this weekend in a three-game series for the U SPORTS National Championship title. All games livestreamed at USPORTS.LIVE.

WOMEN’S GOLF
The women’s golf team is in California this week competing at the CSU San Macros Classic hosted by the Twin Oaks Gold Club. In their last tournament, Victoria hosted the annual Vikes Shootout on Oct. 15-16 and finished as the runners-up.

Monday/Tuesday, Oct.29-30: Vikes at CSU San Marcos Classic (San Marcos, CA)

ROWING
The Vikes men’s and women’s rowing teams will travel to St. Catharines, ON this weekend to compete in the Canadian University Championships. Victoria finished second at the Western Canadian Championships earlier in October, their last tune-up event prior to the country’s national championships this weekend.

SWIMMING

Continuing to gear up for the Canada West Championships in late November, the Vikes swim team will head to the mainland this weekend to compete in the College Cup hosted by UBC.
