MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Vikes men’s basketball team were swept by the 2017 national champions from the University of Calgary this past weekend in Alberta. After the two consecutive losses to the Dinos, Victoria now sits with a 2-6 record this season. The Vikes will host the winless Trinity Western Spartans this weekend in the CARSA Performance Gym with the first game of the two-game weekend series tipping off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. LIVE STATS | PPV WEBCAST

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Vikes women’s basketball team suffered two straight defeats to the Calgary Dinos this past weekend in Alberta. With a 5-3 record, Victoria will host the Trinity Western Spartans this weekend who currently hold a 6-2 record in the Canada West conference. The Spartans started their season with six-game win streak before losing two straight games to the UNBC Timberwolves last weekend in Prince George. LIVE STATS | PPV WEBCAST

MEN’S RUGBY
The Vikes men’s rugby team captured a win in dramatic fashion this past weekend against Westshore. Victoria was down 22-5 at halftime but came back to win by scoring five tries in the second half for a 32-29 victory. Holding a 3-4 record in the BC Premier League, the Vikes now turn their focus to the Canadian Men’s University Rugby Championships that begin on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Victoria will play their first game of the tournament on Thursday, Nov. 22 against OUA champions from Queen’s University.

SWIMMING
The Vikes swim team will be in Calgary this weekend for the Canada West Championships from Nov. 23-25. At the 2017 championships, the Vikes’ men finished in third and the women finished in fourth. Eric Hedlin and Danielle Hanus are the two swimmers to watch this weekend, both having decorated careers so far representing the Vikes.
