The Victoria Royals were defeated by the Everett Silvertips 2-1 in extra time at the XFINITY Arena in the final game of their road trip.

Both goaltenders stood tall throughout the contest. Royals’ netminder Griffen Outhouse turned away 40 of the 42 shots fired at him and earned second star honours. Silvertips’ goaltender Carter Hart, who was named the first star, made 26 saves on the 27 shots he faced.

Everett’s Connor Dewar tallied the game winning in the overtime.  Victoria’s Tyler Soy registered his team-leading ninth goal of season in the opening frame. Soy has now recorded six points (4g-2a) in three consecutive contests. Noah Juulsen recorded the Silvertips’ other marker.

Neither team capitalized on the man-advantage. Victoria went 0/3=0.0%, while Everett held a mark of 0/2=0.0%
