The Victoria Royals will battle, BC Division rivals, the Kamloops Blazers for a two-game set on Friday and Saturday night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Friday is Ugly Blazer Night, while Saturday’s contest is Country Night. Puck drop for both games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

PUTTING OUT THE FIRE: The Victoria Royals have seen success against the Kamloops Blazers this season as the club has posted a mark of 4-1-0-0 that includes a home record of 2-0-0-0. This season, the Royals have averaged 4.00 goals per game and have outscored the Blazers 20-15 in the five contests. Since the club established itself on the island, the Royals have amassed a mark of 17-6-2-0 on home ice against the Blazers.

 SKY’S THE LIMIT: Last Sunday against the Everett Silvertips, Royals’ forward Tyler Soy tied the franchise mark for most career assists with his 151stcareer helper. The record was set by former Royal and Chilliwack Bruin Brandon Magee who had a career total of 151 assists over 318 WHL games. Soy (134) is also six goals away from tying former Chilliwack Bruin Ryan Howse’s all-time franchise record for most career goals at 140.


  Fans are encouraged to sport their ugliest and funkiest blazers to the game and will have the opportunity to participate in-crowd and on ice promotions.



The first 2,000 fans will receive a cowboy boot shaped drink koozie, courtesy of Baggins Shoes upon entering the arena. Royals’ Ticket Pack Holders including Season Tickets, Half-Season Tickets and the Seven Game Fan Pack, will have first access to the koozies from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
