The Victoria Royals will battle the US Division-leading Everett Silvertips on Friday at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

WE MEET AGAIN: This marks the first match-up between the two clubs since the historic playoff contest in Game 6 of Round 1 of the 2017 WHL Playoffs. The Royals and Silvertips set a Canadian Hockey League (CHL) record for the longest playoff game at 151:36, which ended at the 11:36 mark of the fifth overtime period as Everett advanced to the second round. In real time, the CHL record-setting contest lasted five hours and 49 minutes.

RECORD SEEKING SOYRecently, Royals’ forward Tyler Soy set the new Victoria record for most career assists with 148 that was previously owned by former Royal Jack Walker (147). The franchise mark is held by former Royal and Chilliwack Bruin Brandon Magee who had a career total of 151 helpers over 318 WHL games. Earlier this season, Soy also became the franchise’s all-time leader in points when he surpassed Magee’s total of 264.

Upon entrance, the first 1,000 fans will receive car air fresheners courtesy of Bumper to Bumper.

Make-A-Wish Foundation will be in the concourse and will have glow stars available by donation at their booth at Gate 1.

Friday night’s contest against the Silvertips will mark the second of four Rain check nights this season. This means any unused full season, half season or fan pack tickets can be exchanged at the box-office windows for additional tickets to the game. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the arena early to avoid long line-ups.
