Victoria rookie Mitchell Prowse opened the scoring when he tallied his second career WHL goal early in the middle frame. Ryan Peckford added to the Royals’ lead on the man-advantage when he wired the puck far-side on the Cougars’ Ty Edmonds for the game winner. Prince George’s Kody McDonald registered the lone goal for the visitors in the final stanza.
