Triathlon BC announced its 2017 Provincial calendar today and it includes two stops on Vancouver Island. On May 25 the Comox Tri-K will be held – a sprint distance High School Championship event, and on July 9 Xterra will be in Victoria. The other races are in the Okanagan Valley:
May 13, Duathlon Championships – Bare Bones Duathlon
June 4, Long Distance Championships – Oliver Half Iron
June 24, Junior Championships – Vernon Triathlon
July 15 & 16, Standard Distance Championships – Peach Classic
July 15 & 16, Sprint Distance Championships – Peach Classic
“To maintain a consistent look and feel, Triathlon BC will work closely with Race Directors in the months leading up to each Championship event, ensuring each event maximizes the athlete experience at each of these incredible venues, ” said Andrew Armstrong, Technical Coordinator, Triathlon BC.
