There couldn’t be a more apt name for a fight card for Tim “Packman” Packer to be featured on: “Slugfest” coming up on Friday, September 8 at Western Speedway. It is dubbed Slugfest VII – a fight card promoted by Peterec’s Muay Thai.

The Victoria kickboxer pummels his opponents with rapid-fire combinations. He can punch faster than almost anyone in Canada and when he does, he puts on a show.

He will be looking to demonstrate his speedy hands when he takes on Gilbert Nakatani who fights out of Covina, California. Nakatani at 5’ 5” is no slouch and sports a record of 5-2. The Flyweight has won his last two fights including a TKO on January 28th.

“It will be great. We have some big names fighting like Adam Braidwood, former Edmonton Eskimo in the heavyweight division,” shared Stan Peterec. “There will be other exciting fights including ISKA World champion Suraj Banghar and Canadian champ Greg Lamothe.”

For fight fans, Braidwood may be the main event at Slugfest VII, but Packer is known to steal the show with his speed and ability to cut off the ring.

The 132-pound dynamo is the only kickboxer to win the Dillon Brown Award for the most exciting fight twice. He is also a national champion.

Packer packs a record of 9-3. The former rugby and soccer player has been kickboxing for six years. He is on a roll going 4-1 during his recent five fights, his latest by technical knockout.

“Currently, I am in the best shape of my life. I can’t wait to peak for the big fight at Slugfest,” shared Packer.
