The Vikes have been preparing for this championship event through out the month of November, competing at the Island Cup Invitational and the College Cup in Vancouver. At both events the Vikes boasted 14 Top 5 finishes. The Vikes women enter the weekend as the No.6-ranked in the U SPORTS Top 10 poll, the men will come in ranked No.10 in the nation.

In 2017, the Vikes women finished fourth and the men finished third accumulating 11 medals through out the meet held at Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria.
