Friday, August 24 at Western Speedway in Victoria, BC, the International Kickboxing Federation world welterweight title was contested between Detroit, MI athlete Jeremy Henry and Victoria’s Greg Lamothe.

It was a five-round bout that went the distance.

Henry came out of the first three rounds from his corner full-on, firing rapid punches, however, soon tired and Lamothe took over with his smooth, tactical hitting techniques. The fight could have gone either way and Henry, easily could have won the fight, if Lamothe made one error.

Unanimous decision went to Lamothe, who is the owner of Martial Arts Unlimited.
