It didn’t rest easy with the talented Victoria Shamrocks being 1-2 to start their 2018 regular Western Lacrosse Association season, not one bit.

They entered the Langley Events Centre and unleashed an unholy fury upon the unsuspecting Thunder, besting them by double, ending up on top by the score of 14-7.

It could have been worse.

Casey Jackson, one of the Shamrocks that are expected to produce the goals, again, did his part, scoring four and he added four assists. Jesse King scored once, adding three helpers, while Chris Wardle finding his handle this season, had a multiple-point game for the second time in a row, got the hat-trick and two helpers.

Derek Lloyd, Matt Yager and Josh Fagan also scored.

Cody Hagedorn, who sat last game with a late injury was back in net Wednesday night and made 35 saves.

Brodie MacDonald stopped 26 of 40 shots fired his way, but he got yanked in favour of backup Tyler Richards. The Shamrocks ended up with 58 shots to Langley’s 42 – the Shamrocks played hard on both sides of the ball, perhaps their first complete game of the four this season.

The Shamrocks’ next game is against the Nanaimo Timbermen, who are also now 2-2. The game will take place on Sunday at The Q Centre.
