The Victoria Royals will battle against the Tri-City Americans on Tuesday, October 10th and Wednesday, October 11th for two games at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Both contests are set for 7:05 p.m. starts.

HOT OUT OF THE GATE: With an 8-3 victory on Wednesday night against the Kelowna Rockets, Victoria improved to 5-0-0-0, which marks the best start in franchise history. In those five games, Victoria has scored a total of 31 goals to lead the CHL in goals. The franchise’s previous best start was held by the 2015-16 Royals, who kicked off the season 4-0-0-0.

SECOND PERIOD OUTBURST: The Royals scored six markers in the second period against the Rockets on Wednesday to set the new franchise record for most goals in a single period. The previous feat (5) occurred on eight separate occasions over the franchise’s 12 years, most recently on October 21, 2016 against the Swift Current Broncos.

Victoria’s Tyler Soy and Chaz Reddekopp have both been re-assigned to the Royals by their respective NHL clubs and are expected to be in the line-up for both contests versus the Americans. Soy returns after he took part in the Anaheim Ducks and San Diego Gulls training camps, while Reddekopp spent time with the Los Angeles Kings and Ontario Reign.
