Back to school will be the focus this Saturday at Westhills Stadium as the Westshore Rebels will be hosting the Okanagan Sun in the second-to-last game of the 2015 season.
Minor football will also be featured for a fun family afternoon. The Rebels are providing free game ticket vouchers for Victoria area students k-12 (when accompanied by an adult ticket) and can be available by asking your school or at westshorerebels.ca.
The Rebels’ release read, “Everyone is urged to proudly wear their school or team jersey and take in the events situated around the stadium by ringing the sirens in a 1980’s Langford fire truck, halftime mini ball toss to win BC Lions tickets, purchasing a game program to get a free seat cushion and of course watch our North American famous cheer team.”
The Rebels play both of their final two games at home, the final will be against the Langley Rams on October 3rd.
“After a character building weekend in Nanaimo and a 35-16 loss to the Raiders. The Okanagan Sun visit the Westshore on Vancouver Island this Saturday for a 3pm kickoff and you’re invited.”
Saturday’s game is available on pay per view and updates through the Rebels social media via Twitter, Facebook or text message and can be accessed by visiting www.westshorerebels.ca.
