The UVic Vikes men’s basketball team will play the final two home games of their fall schedule this weekend when they welcome the Saskatchewn Huskies to the CARSA Performance Gym on Nov. 17 and 18.
The games scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday will see the 3-3 Vikes battle the 2-2 Huskies as the two teams search for some consistency throughout the early portion of their schedule.
It was a sweep in favour of the Vikes when these teams last met in Canada West play the 2015-16 season. UVic was dominant on the weekend, recording wins of 83-58 and 86-76.
Last Time Out
The Vikes got their season back on track last weekend with a sweep of the Trinity Western Spartans in Langley, B.C. Second-year Vike Jason Scully had a breakout performance as the forward from Victoria had the two best games of his Vikes career, putting up 33 points in wins of 85-62 and 93-77.
The Huskies picked up their first two wins of the season last weekend, beating the Thompson Rivers WolfPack by scores of 89-66 and 80-61.
