Pacific Cycling Centre has announced its 2015-2016 winter camp dates. The camps – all held in Victoria – will run over the winter to prepare riders for the 2016 season. The camps are open to the public but early registration is advised. PCC will also host three camps for the Saskatchewan Cycling Association. Registration is open for the first camp, to be held from November 26 – 29.
The camp will provide cyclists with the riding volume they need to kick off the season with the main focus on endurance, strength development and honing technical skills. The camp is open to all levels and will work and improve aerobic power, ITT, and climbing technique. Under the supervision of Head Coach, Houshang Amiri, athletes will improve their fitness levels and receive feedback on training as they build a foundation for the season.
The four-day camp will include four rides and will feature tips on pedaling efficiency and learning how to develop a correct technique; recovery based training – learning how to manage your fatigue and recovery from training and competition, and strength evaluations during the dynamic strength sessions.
To accompany the camp, PCC is offering services such as power metre analysis, dynamic bike positioning, MAP and lactate profiling, for an additional fee.
Deadline to apply is November 15, 2015. For more information go to:
