Metchosin’s Corissa Sivorot will be representing Canada at the 2015 International Union of Kettlebell Lifting World Championships in Dublin, Ireland. The competition takes place from the 25th to the 29th of November this year.

Sivorot qualified for Worlds while competing in the Canadian Kettlebell Association (CKA) Nationals that took place in Edmonton on July 18th this year. Sivorot lifts the 16kg (35 pound) kettlebell in the amateur snatch competition. She qualified by lifting 159 times during the regulation time limit of 10-minutes.

The world record is approximately 200 times, her personal best is 159, she hopes to lift at least 180 times during the championships.

The 2015 competition is only the second time that Canada is sending a team to compete at the world level.
