The Mountain Equipment Coop Race Series is bucking the current trend and is growing at a rapid pace. While most races are experience a gradual decline in participation numbers, MECRS has nearly doubled in 2016 from 2015 numbers.

The new trend, as apparently set by MEC, is to have short post-race awards, inexpensive race entry (at $15 advance) and accurate courses with professional timing. One can finish their race, have post-race refreshments, watch the awards and be home in time for breakfast.

The Mountain Equipment Coop Race Series reconvenes on Sunday September 4th with race number four, dubbed The Best Getter.

There will be three races to choose from starting at 8:30 AM with a 15K, then at 8:45 the 10K will start followed by the 5K starting at 9:00. Race four runs along the beautiful Gorge Inlet, Galloping Goose Trail and Swan Lake Nature Reserve trails.

Online registration closes at midnight on Thursday September 1st, while in-store registration closes at 5:00 PM on Saturday September 3rd.

Race morning registration goes from 7:00AM to 8:00AM (ends 30min prior to first start time). Cash Only on Race Day!
