Jason Sperling, Westshore Rebels
Victoria’s Westshore Rebels invite you out to join players at the McDonald’s on Langford Parkway (near RONA) from 4-6pmon Wednesday May 4th to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) Canada, the Ronald McDonald Houses® and hundreds of other local children’s charities. This will be the 3rd year the Westshore Rebels have helped out with McHappy Day in our community.
This year marks the 22nd McHappy Day in McDonald’s® Canada’s since it started in 1977. It is the company’s longest-running and best-known national fundraising event with more than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants celebrating McHappy Day this year. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $46 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) Canada, the Ronald McDonald Houses® and hundreds of other local children’s charities.
At the heart of our community commitment is RMHC Canada, which is dedicated to giving sick children the one thing they need most: their families by supporting Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms® across the country. RMHC provides families of sick children with a home-away-from-home or a place of peace and calm within a hospital.
It is a time-honoured McHappy Day tradition for civic and community leaders to join us in our restaurants to celebrate this special day with our customers. As a local McDonald’s Restaurant manager of the Langford Rona location, I’d like to invite you to attend this very worthwhile event to provide your support during McHappy Day and participate alongside my restaurant team. Your involvement would be a tremendous boost to our McHappy Day efforts and help us further support Jeneece Place here in Victoria and the Vancouver Ronald McDonald House.
