Victoria Highlanders FC has announced the signing of Eva Batousol from London, England for the 2017 Premier Development League (PDL) season, pending ITC clearance. Batousol was brought up through Ashford Town (Middlesex) FC’s youth system before joining Sheffield FC in 2015-16.

The six-foot-one, forward/attacking midfielder broke into Ashford Town (Middlesex) FC’s First Team following his youth career and represented Middlesex FA County team with eight caps. Batousol was also a member of Barnet FC’s youth team before relocating to Sheffield to study Sport and Sociology at Sheffield Hallam University. In the 2015-16 season, the left-footed, London native captained the University men’s First Team.

Batousol is the latest signing for the Highlanders ahead of the 2017 PDL season, which kicks off May 14 at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium. Highlanders head coach Dave Dew’s squad is beginning to shape up as the Season Opener nears, with several additional signings and returning players expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks.

“Eva is an exciting addition to our roster,” Dew commented. “His attacking mindset and physical presence will play a big role in our midfield this year. I am very excited to welcome Eva to the club and Victoria and I am confident that his playing style will delight our fans.”

Batousol and the Highlanders open their 2017 PDL season on May 14 at Centennial Stadium against Lane United FC at 2:00 p.m. PST. For 2017 tickets, visit for more information.
