The Highlanders FC wrap up their PDL season with two more matches this weekend against Seattle Sounders U-23 on Friday at Centennial Stadium and at Calgary Foothills U-23 on Sunday in Calgary.
The Sounders handed Victoria a costly loss at their last meeting on July 7. Following their Friday night tilt, the Highlanders will make one last road trip to Calgary, Alta., where they will face division-leading Calgary Foothills U-23 for their 2017 Season Finale. Victoria will have an opportunity to play spoiler against Foothills, who are fending off Timbers U-23 for the 2017 Northwest Division title, and currently hold a two-point cushion on their southern counterparts.
“The group is committed to finishing the season on a high note,” Highlanders head coach Dave Dew said. “Hopefully we can exact a little bit of revenge on Friday night and cause Calgary some problems on Sunday afternoon.”
