The West Coast League’s Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by league commissioner Rob Neyer, are Oregon State sophomore-to-be infielder Ryan Ober of the Victoria HarbourCats and Washington State sophomore-to-be pitcher Bryce Moyle of the Walla Walla Sweets for the week of July 16-22.

Ryan Ober of the National Champion Oregon State Beavers went 7-for-17 with 5 runs, 3 homers and 8 RBIs for the HarbourCats. For the summer, Ober is hitting .308 over just 39 at-bats as he didn’t get started with the Cats until July 3rd because of the Beavers College World Series run.

This past spring as a frosh, Ober made 1 start, 8 appearances and scored 4 runs.

This past week, Washington State’s Bryce Moyle made two appearances and one start for the Sweets, tossing 8 scoreless innings; giving up only 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 13 and earning a win in his home start vs. Cowlitz.

As a frosh at WSU, Moyle made 16 appearances and two starts, and went 0-1 with a 6.85 ERA while walking 11 and striking out 18 over 22.1 innings pitched.
