The second of three days for SCCA Runoffs qualifying has been completed, at Sonoma Raceway just North of San Francisco.

Bill Okell, the only driver here from Vancouver Island sits 14th in the F Production class and 13th in the GT-Lite class. Okell had no on-track incidents during the 20-minute sessions at this hilly track with 178 Ft of elevation change. New tires for the Huffaker Austin Healey in tomorrows session should improve his starting position for Friday and Saturday’s  National Championship races.

Each of the 28 car classes had 20-minute qualifying sessions today and tomorrow to decide Tire Rack Pole Award winners.  Audio-only coverage of qualifying is available at  www.SCCA.com/live. Providing the commentary are longtime Runoffs pit reporter Heyward Wagner, Tom O’Gorman (pro driver), Gregg Ginsberg (Super Tour Radio), Andy Hollis and Larry MacLeod (SCCA Solo Nationals announcers) along with occasional special guests. Live timing and scoring can also be found at www.SCCA.com/live.  Coverage can also be accessed through the SCCA Runoffs mobile app.
