Victoria Highlanders FC announced the addition of several players prior to kick-off of the 2017 Premier Development League (PDL) season. Andre Earthy-Find, Mackenzie Cole, Ellie Gindo, Bobby Eng, Paddy Nelson, Jonah Smith, Blair Sturrock, Solomon Constant and goalkeeper Ty Venhola will be in the lineup for the club’s May 14 match versus Lane United FC at Centennial Stadium.

The recent signings add a significant dose of Canadian flavour to the Highlanders’ lineup, while also adding a mixture of youth and experience. Victoria-native Earthy-Find registers at just 18-years-old, while veteran Sturrock has featured on the Highlanders’ First Team as early as the 2013 PDL season.

The Highlanders roster now sits at 21 with the Highlanders Season Opener taking place this weekend at the University of Victoria’s Centennial Stadium. The club’s First Team roster features players from across the country and abroad, who looked impressive in their first competitive match Wednesday evening in a friendly versus the Highlanders’ Pacific Coast Soccer League team.

“I think the talent across the lineup will surprise a lot of people,” commented Dew. “[Co-owner and General Manager] Marvin Diercks and myself made a concerted effort this offseason to make sure the standard of talent across the team was as high as it possibly could be.”

Highlanders FC open their 2017 PDL season on May 14 at Centennial Stadium against Lane United FC at 2:00 p.m. PST. For 2017 tickets, visit for more information.
